Resstende recently completed a new installation on the terrace of BC& Studio, located on Via Porlezza, Milan. The project, part of the renovation of The Bridge, Urban Office Campus, stands out for the strategic choice of orange fabric, the institutional color of the brand, which adds character and uniqueness to the environment.

The vibrant hue of the fabric not only enhances the overall aesthetic of the space but was carefully chosen to create a harmonious contrast with the surrounding architecture, adding a dynamic element that perfectly interacts with the urban context. This design approach, the result of a conscious vision, has transformed the structure into a landmark of modernity and style, imbuing the urban landscape with a sense of energy and freshness.

To develop an innovative solution that would ensure comfort and livability for the terrace, Rossella Gerosa, Project Manager at Resstende, collaborated with architect Marco Lecchi, who oversaw the project. He commented: “The solar shading systems were integrated during the furniture design phase, a crucial moment to ensure that every element contributed to the overall harmony of the project. The choice of Resstende as a partner was dictated by their high level of professionalism, both technically and in their interactions with the professionals involved. This led to a highly effective collaborative process, taking into account the client’s desires, technical and aesthetic needs, and combining them with Resstende’s expertise to achieve a final result that satisfied all parties.”

The installation included horizontal roller blinds, model Dallas TKO 135, and vertical roller blinds, model Dallas 135, all made with orange Starscreen fabric. From a technical standpoint, the project is notable for the use of the Traction Kit, a forced tension device that ensures optimal tension of the fabric even in windy conditions, providing stability and functionality.

Tiziana Crespi, Assistant at BC& Studio, commented: “The solar shading systems were designed with a dual purpose: to protect from the sun and to offer privacy from the surrounding buildings. The choice of orange not only aligns with the studio’s visual identity but also creates a coherent and recognizable visual link for those viewing the project. It reflects attention to detail that goes beyond simple functionality, integrating aesthetic aspects and coordinated design into every part of the project.”

The installed solar shading systems perfectly meet the need to improve both living and visual comfort, creating a welcoming and protected environment, ideal for moments of relaxation and socializing during refreshments and informal gatherings on the terrace, confirming Resstende’s commitment to innovation and design excellence.
